About two sundays ago, Jeffrey and I took a trip to Estacada, OR. Our destination was Out to Pasture Sanctuary. They were having an open house, and of course, I jump at any opportunity to pet farm animals that aren't in a petting zoo.

Out to Pasture Sanctuary is a small, 3 acre farm. It has a quaint little house and animals everywhere. It gave me hope. My dream is to have my own sanctuary. My only experience with sanctuaries has been Peaceful Prairie Sanctuary in Eagle, CO. They have millions and millions of acres... I can't afford billions upon billions of acres AND keep animals. Out to Pasture helped me remember to start small and work towards big.

it's a new decade!

Well hello 2010. Fancy seein' you here!

As I enter a new decade, I see a lot of habits from the past 10 years that I am choosing to discontinue. I suppose they can be considered resolutions...

I have been a piss poor excuse for a vegan. I plan on becoming a stellar example of what veganism is. Don't worry, though, I won't be militant. I hate those people...

I vow to eat as locally as possible. Local just tastes better. It's a fact. It also ensures my food isn't covered in chemicals and my money isn't going towards government run companies like Monsanto. Someday I'll have my own organic farm....

Goodbye corn syrup! You are an unnatural, unhealthy, corrupt, POS sweetener. By consuming corn syrup, I'm supporting big business, poor product, obesity, and the slaughter of the animals I try so hard to save.

I am going to stop saying I'm going to do something, and actually do it! I'm going to begin working towards a fulfilling future. As fun as my job is, <---- sarcasm, I don't want to be there for another year. I have animals to save! There is a lot more to animal rights than just veganism. I have no future if I stay at Casa....

So here's to a cruelty free, healthy, fulfilling future!
